Po aktualizacji mysql wywala błąd

Witam,

 

mam pewien problem, otóż przed chwilą dokonałem aktualizacji mysql z 4.1 do 5.1 no i jest problem. Otóż nie mogę uruchomić mysql'a

Dostaję taki błąd:

ERROR 2002 (HY000): Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock' (2)

 

Sprawdzałem i nie mam takiego pliku nigdzie na serwerze... Co się stało?

 

Mam debiana i panel DA i postępowałem wg. http://www.directadmin.com/forum/showthread.php?t=29824

A czy może być tak że firewall blokuje?

/etc/init.d/mysqld start wykonuje coś takiego:

/usr/local/mysql/bin/mysqld_safe --user=mysql --datadir=/home/mysql/ --pid-file=/var/run/mysqld/mysqld.pid > /dev/null &

 

wykonując ręcznie:

/usr/local/mysql/bin/mysqld_safe --no-defaults

co jest nie tak?

Może nie może pid-a utworzyć, brak odpowiednich praw.

Spróbuj żeby pid był gdzieś w datadir np. --pid-file=/home/mysql/mysqld.pid

tak ten error wystąpił wtedy jak tablice się posypały - także nieaktualne jest do tego problemu

hyh akurat dziś miałem maszynę z tym samym problemem.

zrób porządek z paczkowymi śmieciami, poradziłem custombuildem, właściwym plikiem my.cnf (rób symlink z /etc/mysql/my.cnf do właściwego pliku /etc/my.cnf) oraz odpowiednio skonfigurowanym starterem w inicie, reszta poszła z custombuilda.
