We are pleased to announce that we are in the final stage of launching a new service: Byet VPS (Virtual Private Servers)
Our VPS's are powered by a leading server virtualization technology: OpenVZ. OpenVZ is container-based virtualization for Linux. OpenVZ creates secure, isolated containers (otherwise known as VEs or VPSs) on a single physical server enabling superior server utilization and ensuring that applications do not conflict. Each container or VPS performs and executes exactly like a stand-alone server; a container can be rebooted independently and has root access, users, IP addresses, memory, processes, files, applications, system libraries and configuration files.
Every VPS is pre-installed with a customized, light installation of Linux with a specially configured Webmin control panel running optmized versions of MySQL, Apache, ProFTP and Postfix, designed for maximum performance and stability without comprimizing functionality.
We are inviting 20 experienced webmasters / linux administrators to become a beta-tester and get a one month free trail of our VPS service on the 'basic' plan, see below for the specifications.
